Made in Arts London Affordable Art Fair Showcase 2022

Made in Arts London is a non-profit initiative devoted to nurturing young talent from the University of the Arts London (UAL), supporting students in their personal and professional development to help them to break into the art and design market. Many of the works for this year’s display have been created during a global pandemic. Undoubtedly this has affected the artists and their work, from the way they have produced it through to the concepts it aims to explore.

The collection’s name ‘iridescent’ means showing luminous colours that seem to change as the angle of view or illumination alters. As such the work in this collection represents a myriad of interchangeable ideas from identity, reflection and our environment. From biomaterials to photography the collection pushes at the boundaries of art’s capacity and ability to highlight and explore both personal, humane and societal concerns.
