Bo's work is based around play and chance, each outcome being an experiment, a development in process. He aims to stretch, pull apart and re-imagine themes, re-crafting images through process and placing or removing narratives.
Bo works both digitally and using analogue printing methods, particularly paying attention to lithography which allows for painterly, flat, bold mark mark making. Bo will work through a process until a form or narrative presents itself.
"The complex processes within my work I find extremely interesting even though they are very labour intensive, nevertheless the results I believe are really rewarding. I love opening the kiln or busting open a mould and seeing what’s happened…"
