BA Sculpture, Camberwell College of Arts 2014
Helen says that her approach to art-making involves a lot of waiting around for things to happen! She predominantly works with film and performance, regularly employing a portable studio, carrying her video camera around, seeing and documenting humans’ idiosyncrasies. She enjoys intervening in situations especially in London where it’s so easy to break the many unwritten rules of ‘how to be.’
Her greatest influence come from the observations she make whilst travelling and roaming; these vary from people’s expressions and mannerisms, to their roles in society, to the completeness of certain situations where everything just, works.

“I play with performance as I enjoy the human-to-human relationship, looking at my effect on people and visa versa.”
