"I grew up in a small country Lithuania with a population of around 3 million people at the time. My teenage years were highly impacted by a certain body ideal portrayed in mass media and I was far from it. Considered to be overweight by the society lead to a number of body image issues in my later years. 'Under Her Skin' is my way of overcoming my own struggles by sharing the stories of myself and other women.

It explores woman’s relationship with her body and aims to create a safe space for women to share their individual stories, while bringing attention to female body representation in fashion industry, cultural beauty standards, body politics and society's pressure to present a certain version of oneself. Through this project I am exploring the notions of self, beauty, power and confidence, as well as discussing identity and how it can be affected by the views of society and industry."
