 MiAL is a project of Arts SU and made possible by University of the Arts London:


Arts SU is the Students' Union at the University of the Arts London, providing help, support, representation and opportunities to UAL's 18,000+ students across 6 colleges all over London. Arts SU is a student-led non-profit organisation. MiAL is a project of Arts SU.  
UAL University of the Arts London is Europe's largest specialist arts and design university, founded in 2004 and consisting of 6 colleges across London: Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion, and Wimbledon College of Arts. MiAL works with students and graduates from across all six UAL colleges.

The National Union of Students (NUS) is a voluntary membership organisation. A confederation of 600 students' unions, NUS represents more than 95 percent of all higher and further education unions in the UK, representing the interests of more than seven million students. NUS enabled UAL Students' Union to launch MiAL in March 2012 through an enterprise grant.

Harmonic Capital

Founded in 2002, Harmonic is a global macro manager, seeking to provide uncorrelated absolute returns to institutional investors. MiAL and Harmonic have been partners since 2012, when MiAL founded our art rental scheme.




 Helping artists to make work, sell work, find work and network, Artquest provides the information to drive creative practice and help artists thrive on some of the lowest incomes in the creative sector.







As well as ongoing support Cass Art offers a grant through Made in Arts London, where the recipient not only gains financial support with materials, but also with the continued growth and promotion of their practice. This grant was offered to students applying for the Spring/Summer 2015 & Spring/Summer 2016 Collections.

.Metro Imaging offers the most comprehensive range of photographic services in the UK. The also provide mentorship programs to encourage and support emerging photographers. Made in Arts London and Metro Imaging have partnered on a series of talks regarding how artists can support and promote their practice.




 Staffords Gallery Made in Arts London partner


Mark and Stafford Crombie own and operate one of the very last family run Professional Picture Framing businesses left in Central London. Staffords Gallery has decades of knowledge and experience not just of picture framing but also many of the related areas such as Interior Design, Conservation, Preservation and Restoration and the repair of damaged frames and artwork. 

MiAL Supports:



 A student-led initiative dedicated to democratising the arts through digital media and Virtual Reality technology. Challenging limitations set on creating and accessing art through creative collaborations, skills-sharing workshops and open access, public exhibits. Instant, Portable, Accessible art and performance for everyone.
